Jelma toured Chen's Loquat factory. It was quite a place with dozens of workers in a modern facility. There were multi skilled staff, like Jelma's own Kazuki. The workers could work by hand or machine. Chen had spent millions building the place up from nothing. The design department was small for such a factory, consisting of only three staff. Chen gave Jelma an office with everything she needed: drawing equipment backed up by state of the art CAD equipment to design garments on and cutting implements along with several mannequins. She would design by hand, as was her way. Chen supported her on this. He knew it gave the best results by allowing Jelma free creative freedom.
"What do you think?"
"Stunning."
"I've got something even more impressive to show you. I want to know what you think about it, my dear Jelma."
The couple stopped off for a quick snack at the English cafe before going to town. Here, in downtown Shanghai, in the Global Harbour shopping mall, was a glamorous boutique, selling top brands, called Yangguan or sunshine. Chen wanted his lady to see something very important. She didn't have long to wait. Jelma had been to Shanghai before, itself an amazing mega-city of over twenty four million.
